Wet/dry hair straighteners?

I'm thinking of getting one, but some people tell me they're bad/drying for your hair... What has been your experience? Is there a particularly good one out there?Wet/dry hair straighteners?
It depends on how often you are going to be straightening your hair. I blow-dry and straighten my hair every day, so I definitely couldn't use the wet/dry straightener. If you are going to be doing it everyday, then I would bite the bullet and buy a CHI straightener. They are kind of expensive, but they will not damage your hair at all. I've been using mine for a little over 2 years and my hairstylist always tells me that my hair is in perfect condition. If you're only going to be using the straightener every once in awhile, I think the wet/dry will be fine. I have a friend that uses it whenever she dresses up and wants to make her curly hair completely straight.

Also...if you use any straightener make sure to get some type of spray, gel, or mousse you can put in your hair before you straighten it...that will really prevent damage.Wet/dry hair straighteners?
it does damage your hair if you use it too often. i use it daiily, so i use heat protection spray from CHI.. and i heard the CHI hair straighteneer is good too
i have the Remington wet2straight. i never ever straighten it wet. uhh. you can straighte4n it when it is damp though. its desinged not 2 fry your hair. if you do use wet straightener, i recomend using some heat tamer so you dont damage or fry your hair off.
I have one that i use everyday, first off it is bad for your hair to use a straightener on wet hair, but if you use conditioner and take really good care of you hair normally i havent found it to be too bad, especially not any worse then dying it. When you start with wet hair your typically have to go through your hair a few times to get it really straight, if your hair is dry to start its so much quicker. Also if you have long or thick hair its much easier to pull your hair up in a clip and drop it down by layers to straighten seperatly. My wet/ dry straightener is from walmart it comes in two sized i have the smaller one and cost like 20 bucks and it works just fine!
i just recently got one and seriously they are a waist of money
Well, I've heard they aren't good for your hair. I know it saves a little time but I think that in the long run you're better off spending a few more minutes drying your hair than damaging it.
well i have the kind of straightener that you are talking about and its bad to dry your hair when its wet. my hair is actually thiner when i starighten my hair when its wet after using it but now i dont use it when my hair is wet.
